Hands Around The Edington

The Edington Cottage Hospital has been at the heart of our community's health for over 100 years, providing vital GP-led in-patient care and a minor injuries service. The hospital closed on 13th September, staff, patients and community groups receiving less than two weeks' notice. The closure is cited as being temporary, but there is no guarantee that services will be reinstated either in part or in full. To safeguard the future of the services we have depended on for more than a century, we need to act.

We are campaigning to safeguard the future of vital community-based health and social care services, ensuring that the full range of care provision from palliative and end-of-life in-patient services to general medical and step-down admissions and minor injuries are restored and retained within the community for the benefit of its people.
